Room 29
In room 29 you get to play
with paint and pens and clay.
You get a chance to dream and think, imagine and explore.
You'll sculpt a future all your own
and one day you'll agree
art was where you were most yourself.
Art set your senses free.
Students have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials in art at Ritenour Middle School. Students are in art for one quarter in 6th/7th grade and can take Drawing, Ceramics, Painting and/or Advanced Art in 8th grade.
Classes begin with an introduction to different 2D and 3D techniques. They start by learning life-drawing, design, color theory, and hand-building techniques and then gradually build to more self-lead, personal explorations using themes, artist inspiration, and reflection to help guide the creative process.
